My Portrait Parties Have Received a Face Lift!

With the opening of my studio comes new options!  I will now have two kinds of portrait parties: In-Home, and In-studio!  At an In-Home party, my studio comes to you - either in your home, or outdoors at a location of your choice.  An In-studio party is held in my studio - forget the worries of having to clean your house & find space for my backdrops!  Each party type has different benefits (listed below).

What is a Portrait Party?

A portrait party is an event that allows you and your friends to have quality portraits made with no session fees.   I will take professional portraits for you and your friends in mini-sessions.  I will use one backdrop per party ~ you can choose black or white.  All photos will be taken using the same backdrop.  Photos can be of adults, families, children... whomever, but they will have a time limit to approximately 15 minutes each.  No selling will occur at the party.  You and your friends will just get together, have some light refreshments and enjoy visiting and having your pictures made. 

How many people do I need to invite to my party?

As many as you can!  I require at least 5 guests/mini-sessions to award hostess benefits, so you should over-invite to ensure you have enough guests.

What are the charges for my guests?

There are no session fees or charges for the guests to come and have their pictures made.  No selling will occur at the time of the party.  All proofs will be available for viewing online within 5-7 business days from the party.  There will be 5-10 proofs to view for each mini-session.  All orders for prints will need to be placed within 10 days of the party to count toward the hostess benefits.

What are my obligations as the host/hostess?

If you are choosing an in-home party, I will need space for setting up my backdrops and lights ~ preferably a living or family room, OR provide me an outdoor setting appropriate for portraits.  With an in-studio party, you just show up!  You should provide light refreshments for your guests, and invite at least 10 people to your portrait party.  After the party is completed and I let you know the proofs are online, you are responsible for letting your guests know they are available for viewing and for collecting all orders.  When the prints come in, you will be responsible for delivering them to your guests.

What are the benefits to hosting a Portrait Party?

When you host a portrait party and have 5 or more guests, you will receive a free 8x10 of your choice.  In addition, you will receive portrait rewards totaling 10% of your party's sales at an in-home party and 20% of your party's sales at an in-studio party.  You can earn additional rewards if your guests decide to book a full portrait session or portrait party of their own.
